You may occasionally feel the need to suppress a few of your WhatsApp messages since you appear uninterested in seeing them at the top of your chat list. WhatsApp users may quickly hide chats using the ‘Archived’ function of the messaging programme. Basically, hiding a conversation does not imply that it is deleted or saved to your SD card. On WhatsApp, it will just be hidden.
Here’s how to temporarily hide chats:
Step 1: Long-press any chat to bring up an Archive box at the top of WhatsApp.
Step 2: To hide your chat, click that box.
It’s also worth noting that when you get a new message from an archived individual or group chat, the archived individual or group chat will stay archived. Unless you are named or replied to in an archived chat, you will not get alerts.
On Android, here’s how to undo “hidden” chats:
Step 1: Scroll down to the bottom of the page to reach the end of the talks.
Step 2: Locate and choose an Archived portion. After that, you’ll be able to see all of the secret chats.
Step 3: If you want to see the hidden chats at the top again, simply long-press on any chat and choose the Archive box.
Here’s how to hide conversations “permanently”:
Set the option to “Keep chat archived” under Settings > Chats > Archived Chats > Keep Chats Archived. After you’ve done this, all of the chats you’ve chosen will be permanently hidden. WhatsApp, on the other hand, places an Archived box on top of all your chats, which you may delete whenever you want.
