Those who enjoy drinking tea in paper cups outside the house or even at home should exercise caution because drinking tea from single-useable paper cups is harmful to one’s health. If a person drinks tea three times a day, he will absorb 75,000 small plastic particles into his body. This was discovered in a study conducted by IIT Kharagpur.
A coating of hydrophobic film, primarily made of plastic, is applied to these cups. Within 15 minutes of adding hot water, this layer begins to melt. Many people are aware of the drawbacks of plastic cups, but paper cups can be just as harmful.
