JioPhone Next, Reliance Jio’s forthcoming entry-level Android smartphone built in collaboration with Google, was revealed in June. The phone is set to go on sale in September, and it appears that its details have leaked. The JioPhone Next is reported to run Android 11 (Go Edition) and include a single back camera as well as an HD+ display. Reliance Chairman and Managing Director Mukesh Ambani stated at the 44th Reliance Industries Annual General Meeting (AGM), when the phone was initially revealed, that the JioPhone Next will be the most cheap smartphone not just in India, but internationally.
Mishaal Rahman, the Editor-in-Chief of XDA Developers, published the specifications of the JioPhone Next on Twitter, along with an image of the phone’s boot screen that states “JioPhone Next Created with Google.” The phone is reported to be model LS-5701-J and to run Android 11. (Go Edition). It might have a 720×1,440 display and be powered by a Qualcomm QM215 SoC.
It is a quad-core, 64-bit mobile CPU with the Qualcomm Adreno 308 GPU. It is intended for low-end smartphones and includes a Qualcomm Snapdragon X5 LTE modem with Bluetooth v4.2 compatibility, GPS, up to 1080p video recording, LPDDR3 RAM, and eMMC 4.5 storage.

Rahman further stated that the JioPhone Next will include a single 13-megapixel camera on the rear and an 8-megapixel camera on the front for selfies and video chats. Furthermore, the phone is believed to come pre-installed with ‘DuoGo,’ which may include some low RAM optimizations. A updated version of Google Camera Go with Snapchat integration is also pre-installed on the phone.
In terms of pricing, Rahman adds that the firms are looking for a sub-$50 price tag, implying that the phone would cost less than Rs. 4,000 in India. It is set to go on sale on September 10, although Jio has not yet disclosed price.
