Mumbai police have lodged a complaint against T-Series company’s Managing Director Bhushan Kumar, son of music magnate late Gulshan Kumar, for allegedly raping a lady on the promise of offering a job to her, an official said today.
On the basis of a complaint filed by the 30-year-old woman, the offence was registered at DN Nagar police station in Andheri (West), he said.
The police, on the other hand, did not provide any information regarding when the claimed incident occurred.
According to the complaint, Bhushan Kumar reportedly raped the woman under the guise of offering her a job in one of his own company’s projects, according to the official.
He stated that the woman claimed he had cheated her and that she had gone to the police because of it.
Bhushan Kumar has been charged under sections 376 (rape), 420 (cheating), and 506 of the Indian Penal Code, according to the official (criminal intimidation).
