WFI bans Vinesh Phogat for indisipline at Tokyo Olympics 2020.

Vinesh, who was knocked out of the Tokyo Games in the quarter-finals after a crushing defeat by ‘fall,’ has been given until August 16 to respond to the notice, which charges him with indiscipline on three counts.

Vinesh, who had travelled to Tokyo from Hungary to train with coach Woller Akos, had declined to train with the rest of the Indian squad at the Games Village.

She also elected to wear a Nike singlet during her bouts instead of the official sponsors of the Indian contingent, Shiv Naresh.
“This is a complete lack of self-control. She has been suspended from all wrestling activity for the time being. She won’t be able to compete in any national or domestic events until she submits a response and WFI makes a final decision “PTI was told by a WFI source.
